Darren is single again, Sex is over estimated
Good news for everybody who se Darren as the pefect parnter for life. He's single again.Even though you didn't know he wassn't single cos he really didn't wnat to talk about his private life.
He's chatty today so lets me ask him as much as I can.

Do you think that you're happy? Cos the new album Affirmation sounds overall sad.
Darren: Yes that is true I'm happy but most of the album is about my split with my wife Colby.
Did the Success of Savage Garden cause the split with your wife?
Darren: No not really it has million of different reasons things you experience in life. I still love her very much and she still loves me but we never can live together anymore. Although we stay best friends . We were married for 2 ½ years and before that we were together for 5 years so it was a big part of my life.
And a big inspataion for your album
Darren: Yes that’s true. It’s a very personal record there’s a lot of pain on the record. Lot of the songs are about me and Colby has to do about disappointment in myself as a man and husband. Cos you never expect that you are getting divorced that only happens to others and not yourself. But well she’s happy and I’m too and I’m now single again after tens years of being with someone I had relationships since I was 17 years old
Did you never had the feeling that you missed something in your life?
Darren: No I think sex is very over estimated

Darren: Yes really it’s so much better to go to bed with someone you love I don’t like sex only because of the sex
Who is the most important person in your life right now?
Darren: ME! Although it might sound a bit selfish but I finally spend sometime to myself. I try to improve myself although I don’t really have to cos no one is perfect. But I’m very hard on myself I always think that someone else is looking better then me and things like that. Although I’m satisfied with my body. The same with my voice I can’t be very upset when I during a performance sing a few notes wrong. At the same time many arist don’t even sing live anymore or worst sing live and sound like shit!
Is there a point where you would quit with music
Darren: If I don’t like it all anymore or if my private life isn’t private anymore . I’ve tried to leave Colby out of all the gossip magazines she have to build up a new life and she never asked to be in the spotlight.
Does that mean that you would date another famous person?
Darren:Well only because of the pressure of work I can’t imagine dating a famous person I’m afraid. Colby was a teacher but she had to give that all up and travel with me if we wanted to see each other a bit and by the way, if I was the other person I would be jealous. I could not live with all the attention my partner would get.
